I am an internationally renowned, BAFTA longlsited Film Director and Producer and practice researcher primary working in documentary and animation, whose practice has become increasingly collaborative and research informed, most recently extending into immersive technologies. My body of work investigates themes such as systems supporting women’s health and well being, place making, identity, and climate health through an ecofeminist lens, with storytelling, person-centred narratives and co-creation methods of production, drawing from and applying practices from animation, documentary, immersive 360 and VR, and illustration.
My practice outputs are regularly screened internationally and via TV and digital platforms. My award-winning animated documentary films have screened at more than 250 film festivals and exhibitions including Hot Docs New York, Fantoche Switzerland, Art Science Daejeon South Korea, Imagine Science Festival New York, Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film, London BFI Film Festival. The works PLUNGE and PLUNGE for VR were selected for IDFA Doclab Forum 2022. My contribution to IRENE’S Ghost was nominated for a BIFA Award in 2018 and cited as one of the best films of 2019 by the Guardian. BATHROOM PRIVILEGES won the AHRC Research in Film (Animation) Award 2020.
