Ludovic Bouancheau is Head of Character Animation at Dreamworks Animation. He lives with his family in Los Angeles.

A graduate from Gobelins, he was recruited by DreamWorks Animation as an animator on Madagascar 2 (2008). He then went to India to help launch the new DreamWorks studio in Bangalore, where he supervised on A Merry Madagascar Christmas (2009) and Scared Shrekless (2010).

Back to Los Angeles, he animated on Megamind (2010), Puss in Boots (2011), Turbo (2013) and Home (2015).

In 2015, he became a supervising animator and worked on Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), The Boss Baby (2017), Abominable (2019) and Trolls World Tour (2020).

He currently works on an upcoming feature film as Head of Character Animation.

He was nominated to the VES Awards in 2012 for his work on the character of Puss in Boots and to the Annie Awards in 2017 for his reel on Kung Fu Panda 3.

He gave master classes about acting and workflow at DreamWorks studios, Gobelins Summer schools in Paris and Hong Kong, and at CTN expo among others.
