Visit the Crypt on 8 November and talk to studios, play games and try hardware and software demos. There’s something for everyone. We also have a range of seminars and workshops throughout the day. Portfolio reviews will also be taking place at the marketplace so be sure to come along.
Entry is free for Animex ticketholders, public entry is available for £5 on the door.
We have guests from Next Gen Skills Academy, Flix Interactive, Wacom and Double Eleven and even more to be confirmed.

We have a line-up of industry veterans who will look at your portfolio and provide feedback and advice. It’s a great opportunity to get your name out there and find out what will get you into industry. These are aimed at second and third year games students. These are running throughout the morning from 9:30am - 11:30am.

Impactful character design
Lucy Kyriakidou will explore what makes a successful character design through a demonstration. She starts with the basics and gives some tips on creating a unique, balanced and recognisable hero through shape language, colour and silhouette. The talk is targeted towards artists, people aiming to understand the process better or are developing their own game with characters.

David Neumann speaks about his career and the creative and business side of the animation industry. He discusses the animation market, the gap between the USA and the rest of the world, diversity and inclusion, the process of creating, packaging, and selling new animation projects to studios and distributors, and how new creators advance their careers with or without an agent.
