Matthew Stoneham

Principal Technical Artist

Matt graduated Teesside University in 2001 and started work as an artist on Kung Fu Chaos before joining Sony where he worked on 24: The Game and Killzone 2. In 2010 he joined Ninja Theory as a Technical Artist on Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and went on to work on DmC: Devil May Cry and Disney Infinity. Most recently Matt served as Principal Technical Artist on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and was instrumental in leading their real-time performance capture set up. Hellblade has already been nominated and won several awards from IGDA and The Game Awards. It was recently nominated for an Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Character Animation in a Video Game and in 2016 won a prestigious SIGGRAPH award for Best Real-Time Graphics & Interactivity.
