Shelley's career in feature animation began with legendary animation director Richard Williams, as head of backgrounds on 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' (1988). In 1989 she joined Steven Spielberg's Amblimation Studio before moving to LA in 1995 to help establish DreamWorks Animation as co-head of Artist Development. Shelley has worked in many areas of feature animation development and production, including helping establish new DWA studios in India and China. Since leaving DreamWorks in 2016 , Shelley has worked with leading animation studios worldwide - including Aardman and Netflix. Her 36+ feature film credits include: ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’, ‘The Prince Of Egypt’, ‘Shrek’, ‘Madagascar’, 'Kung Fu Panda', 'How to Train Your Dragon', 'Ron's Gone Wrong' and, most recently, 'That Christmas' (Dec 2024). In 2019 Shelley joined Locksmith Animation in London to seek out amazing artists for the studio's slate of feature animation projects. Locksmith Animation is currently in production on 'Bad Fairies'. Shelley also regularly gives presentations and masterclasses at leading animation schools and festivals and conferences worldwide. One of the very best parts of her job is finding wonderful new talent on her travels!

Shelley's "Eye Candy Show" + "That Christmas"
Shelley sits on many international festival and graduation juries every year and, in the course of these events, she collects her personal favourites into a series of special screenings, known as 'The Eye Candy Show'. This personal selection represents some of the brightest young talents emerging on the international animation scene as well as award-winning work from renowned independent studios and directors around the world.
Shelley's selection is constantly evolving as she discovers wonderful new films during the year's festivals and other events.
