Stephanie is a freelance Concept Artist based in Preston, Lancashire. She flew over from Geneva, Switzerland in 2006 to study Illustration at University. In 2009 she won a high commendation with her first dummy picture book at “Pan McMillan Children’s Picture book Prize” in 2009 which led her to specialise in younger market illustration after graduating. She soon after realised that her love for the world of picture books had originally stemmed from animated movies and cartoons that had shaped her childhood. She refined her skills toward the entertainment industry by undertaking a Concept Art course through the online Vancouver Animation School. Her first role as concept artist was on “The Story of Flewn”. Soon after she had the chance of working on various projects ranging from apps with “Note Mice” for Jenolt Interactive , “Bye-Bye” for Mimo Films, to prop designs for theatre productions, and themed visitor attractions set constructions through Scruffy Dog Ltd. She also continued her illustration work having published her first educational picture book “George Ferris’ Grand Idea: The Ferris Wheel” , as well as having led a workshop on creating a children’s picture book though the “Love and Etiquette” foundation. Most recently she worked on initial concept art for the award winning music video “Wonderful” directed by Amos Sussigan and was the background designer for the animated musical short based on an unreleased song by the Oscar-winning team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, “Aria for a Cow”.
