Dan Lund
Effects Animator
Dan Lund is part of the team of animators and software experts responsible for creating a wide range of effects. His role on Frozen was to conceptualize and design effects that support the story, then follow it through to completion. Dan began his career at Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1991 on Beauty and the Beast as an effects breakdown and in-between artist. From there, Dan went onto Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Brother Bear, Home on the Range, The Princess and the Frog, Winnie the Pooh and several shorts including Paperman, Mickey Mouse: Get a Horse and, Feast. Dan directed the documentary Dream on Silly Dreamer in 2005, for which he received a certificate of Merit from ASIFA. Dan lives in Southern California and continues to work on his filmmaking craft in both animated and live action formats. His current indie project "Aria for a cow" qualified for Oscar consideration and at Disney he is one of the creative directors for the "Frozen" ride going into Epcot at the Disney World Parks. Hi Jacking Joan (a live action animation puppet combo feature) is his latest indie project in development.
