Curtis Jobling

Curtis is a veteran of the UK animation industry, the creator and designer of numerous shows, as well as an award winning author of books for children of all ages. Shows he has worked on include the BAFTA winning Bob the Builder, Frankenstein's Cat and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion. His picture books and novels are published the world over, including the acclaimed fantasy horror series Wereworld, shortlisted for the Waterstone's Book Prize. He is the author of the darkly comic young adult Haunt novels, while his first novel in a new series of middle grade fantasy, Max Helsing & the Thirteenth Curse, was published by Penguin US in 2015, to be published by Orchard Books in 2016. He lives in Cheshire with his family, cat, dog, and stupid collection of film and TV memorabilia.

A former student of Cleveland College of Art and Design, this exclusive schools talk will feature all aspects of Curtis's work in film, TV and publishing, including rare animation screening, live illustration, fun and interactive powerpoints, culminating in a reading from one of his novels.
