ScMART is an exhibition of photography, drawing, painting, sculpture and animation produced by staff at Teesside University's School of Computing.
Many of the staff are practicing artists who continue to create their work as part of their research and development and teaching. To tie in with the start of Animex, the work produced by staff will be shown at the Python Gallery, Middlesbrough.
The exhibition opens on Friday 12 February between 9.30am - 5.00pm, and everyone is welcome to the private view on Friday, 19 February 4.00pm - 7.00pm.
Dr Derek Simpson, who has just retired as Dean of the School of Computing, said, ‘This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for both academic and ancillary staff to consolidate their status as artists in both the public's and students' eyes and disseminate this work into the larger community.’
