Monday 6 - Friday 10 February
Cineworld, Middlesbrough and OL7, Europa Building, Teesside University
The 2012 Animex screen programme will once again include a diverse mix of styles, from the abstract and experimental to established classics, and will give you the opportunity, regardless of your age, to see films that you might otherwise never get the chance to see.
This year's bigger and better schedule will again include choice selections of acclaimed international shorts and features from the festival circuit, informative and inspiring documentaries, special guest screenings and the very best in new student animation from around the world selected from our own Animex Awards - so you can be sure of some fantastic entertainment.
In addition to our usual line up we are very pleased to once again welcome back to Animex the British Animation Awards. With free screenings of the Best in British Animation produced over the last two years, not only will you have the chance to see a wide ranging selection of fine animation, you can vote for your favourites and influence who will win a coveted British Animation Awards Public Choice prize.
Screenings will take place daily at the Cineworld Multiplex in Middlesbrough and at the Teesside University campus, and are all free of charge unless otherwise stated.
Please check the screening summary for full details of what is happening during the week and remember to check the website regularly for announcements of any surprise screenings.
The week begins with the Features for Families screenings at the Cineworld multiplex on Sunday 5 February where kids can bring their parents and watch their pick of a selection of great films for free.
With such a wide range and eclectic mix of films you can be sure that whatever your taste in animation there will be something for everyone at Animex 2012.
