Mark Osborne Two-time Academy Award®-nominated director Mark Osborne co-directed the 2008 critically acclaimed animated summer blockbuster Kung Fu Panda, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Mark was selected to develop Kung Fu Panda on the strength of his award-winning animated short, MORE, which screened at more that 150 film festivals worldwide and garnered dozens of awards including an Oscar® nomination for Best Animated Short.

He has also earned several awards for designing and producing graphics and animation for television. Mark co-directed a Grammy Nominated animated music video spoof of Jurassic Park for Weird Al Yankovic, directed an independent feature film Dropping Out, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2000, and most of the live-action material for the TV series Spongebob Squarepants in addition to the Spongebob Squarepants film. Mark studied foundation art at New York's Pratt Institute before earning his BFA in experimental animation from the California Institute of the Arts. His thesis film, Greener, won numerous awards and screened at more than 40 film festivals worldwide. Mark is currently writing and developing several feature film projects he hopes to cross of his filmmaking wish list.
