Award-winning Teesside Alumni Returns!

09 November 06

Andy Lomas, a graduate of the University of Teesside, makes a welcome return to speak at Animex Talk!

Since graduating from the University of Teesside in 1992 Andy has won awards for his work in computer graphics for film and television.

Having worked for ESC on The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions and then spending time at DreamWorks to work on Over the Hedge, Andy returned to Framestore CFC where he had previously worked on Walking with Dinosaurs and Dinotopia amongst other projects.

Andy is now Head of Computer Graphics at the company where he began his career and has finally been booked for Animex. Chris Williams, festival director said: "I've been chasing Andy around the world for the last few years! Because he has been so busy and his schedule just wouldn't allow it he has been unable to make the trip back to Teesside until now. But we're obviously delighted that Andy can come to us to tell our audience about all the great stuff he's been doing for the last few years."

As well as delivering what promises to be a fantastic talk, Animex is also delighted to announce that we will be hosting an exhibition of Andy's work, which he produces as an active digital artist. The work, which has been exhibited all over the world, will be unveiled during Animex and will go on permanent display in one of the University's state-of-the-art, multi-million pound new buildings, currently under development on campus.
