Writing and Pitching Creator-Owned Comics Jim Zubkavich Udon Entertainment Creator-owned comics have grabbed the imagination of the comic-reading community all over again and publishers are looking for fresh ideas from a new generation of storytellers. Listen closely as Jim Zub (writer of Skullkickers, Street Fighter Legends, Makeshift Miracle and Pathfinder) discusses pitching his cult hit comic series to Image Comics and offers advice on how to climb to the top of the treacherous submission mountain, along with comic writing techniques, networking tips and amusing anecdotes. |

Axe Cop Ethan Nicolle The little webcomic that has erupted into full a full franchise makes its way to Animex! Join Axe Cop artist Ethan Nicolle (Bearmageddon, Chumble Spuzz) as he discusses all things Axe Cop, including the new President of the World miniseries from Dark Horse comics and the new animated TV show in production at FOX. There will also be a live Q&A where audience members can ask Ethan questions about Axe Cop and what it's like to make comics with an eight year old. |

A Career in Comics Doug Braithwaite Artist Doug Braithwaite talks about how he got into comics and runs through some of the work created during his 25 year career. Within the talk he'll also look at storytelling in the comics medium as well as his own artistic techniques. |

A Retrospective Marv Wolfman During this talk we take a look at the incredible career of Marv Wolfman, writer of comics, videogames and animation as well as the creator of Blade, New Teen Titans, Bullseye, Black Cat and more. |

Animex celebrates its love of comics with a day of talks and signings by writers and artists from the likes of Marvel and Udon Entertainment with some industry legends thrown in for good measure. There are only 280 tickets available and we expect this event to sell out very quickly!
