Illustrator and Concept Designer, Marvel

Adi is an illustrator and concept designer most known for his comic book work including countless covers as well as the highly acclaimed Iron Man - Extremis series from Marvel Comics with writer Warren Ellis, on which a large portion of Iron Man 3 movie was based. Adi trained in the fine arts as well as computer graphics, and started his career as an editorial illustrator for a teenage magazine. He was a concept artist at Nintendo, has illustrated book covers, designed for film and role playing games, toys, statues, as well as advertising.
Adi worked as a conceptual illustrator on Iron Man 1, 2 and 3, as well as The Avengers (Avengers Assemble in the UK), designing characters and creating key frame illustrations. His current work includes comic book, video game and DVD illustrations featuring Marvel characters as well as music album covers, game character designs and a line of collectible figurines.
Talk: Working in the Marvel Universe
Artist Adi Granov discusses his career in comics and takes a look at some of his projects which include the Iron Man: Extremis series, written by Warren Ellis, his role as a conceptual designer and illustrator on the Iron Man films and the Avengers for which he also created key character designs and keyframe illustrations for the action sequences. Adi is currently under an exclusive contract with Marvel and has produced covers for multiple series over the last few years, as well as a number of short interior stories.
