Once again Animexperience offers anyone with the slightest interest in animation and computer games an opportunity to dip their creative toes into the digital and creative industries pool – come on in, the water's lovely.

Animexperience has facilitated numerous workshops and educational forums around the globe. It has developed strong links with educational and community support agencies. Over 3,000 schoolchildren and their families participate yearly, and the feedback, nationally and internationally, is phenomenal.

Work produced by schools and community groups has led to a rise in animation being used as a link to curriculum development and social expression.

This year, in partnership with Cineworld and the Middlesbrough arm of The Children's University, Animexperience provided 1400 Children with tickets to special screenings of blockbuster films and animations. Dan Lund, Effects Lead on Disney's Frozen, introduced the movie to a theatre full of children and led a sing-a-long to the movie's hit song, Let it go.

in partnership with animator Robin Webb, Animexperience worked with sixty primary school children to create stop-motion monster animations and sound effects. These animations were screened at a special red carpet premiere event during the Animex festival. There they were awarded certificates by special guests who had worked on many of Disney's greatest animations. You can view some of these wonderful animations below.

As ever, our wonderful Jedi and Sith friends from the 99th Garrison were around all week to entertain the crowds.

Please contact us at info@animex.net if you'd like further information on this part of the festival.

Come on Teesside, let's get animated!

Thank you to all of our Animexperience friends and partners!
