Joseph Gilland, Special Effects Animatior
In this inspirational presentation, based on Joseph's ground-breaking book about understanding traditional special effects animation principles, a fresh perspective to understanding the energy behind elemental special effects such as fire, water, smoke, explosions and magic is given. Drawing on a life-long mission to capture the essential energy of the elements, he urges his audience to explore the natural world around them and inside them, and thus bring fresh, dynamic energy to the visual effects that they create regardless of the medium.
The return of the dreamer
Tony West, Visual Effects Animator, Premise Entertainment
Since its world premiere at Animex in 2005, Dream on Silly Dreamer has been screened to audiences all over the world. This presentation gives you the chance to see the film then hear from one of its makers.
