Tripp grew up in California, graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco, and has been working in the entertainment industry ever since. He began his career in film at EFilm/CIS in Hollywood working on such projects as Batman Forever, Batman & Robin and Star Trek: Generations.
His direct experience with animation began at Dreamworks-PDI which he joined in 1987, working as Production Supervisor on ANTZ, before becoming Production Manager at Industrial Light + Magic, where Tripp helped to set up ILM’s CG Feature Animation Division. In 2004, Tripp became COO at TSM Productions, overseeing the making of outdoor adventure films. With this wealth of experience behind him, Tripp joined Framestore in 2006 to guide the company’s debut CG feature, The Tale of Despereaux, through production before moving on to manage the delivery of Where the Wild Things Are and Avatar.
His role as Senior Producer at Framestore encompasses responsibility for bidding, budgets, schedules, targets and deliverables; organisation of workflow, and the support and management of production and creative teams.
