|Professor Stuart Sumida, from California State University, talks us through the science of anatomy and demonstrates how it can be used to enhance your animation to give you the best opportunity of becoming one of the best in the business.|

Up and coming animation studios based right here in the Tees Valley talk about how they are helping to develop a new industrial landscape. Speakers from Qurios Entertainment and Seed Animation Studio.

|Artist Roger Dean and Producer Dave Mousley from Red Vision give an exclusive sneak preview of a film they are working on called Floating Islands. The story behind the movie is based on the award winning art work of Roger Dean that was used for the cover of legendary prog-rock band Yes.|

|Realtime UK has been producing photo- realistic computer generated imagery for 10 years. Recently the company has begun working on more character based animation projects. MD Tony Prosser comes to Animex to explain how the company has developed.|

|In this session, Jeanne Pappas Simon, award-winning animation creator, will present the basics of face reading as they relate to animators and how they can use face reading to create characters that are absolutely in sync with the script.|
|3.20pm||The Digital Domain|
|Digital Domain is the five time Academy Award Winning Studio for best visual effects, and technical achievement, currently working on numerous films including Steven Speilberg and Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers. Oscars and BAFTAs are part of the furniture at the studio and Animex gets the chance to see just how some of their work was done with Rachelle Lewis, Digital Domain's Manager of Artistic Recruitment.|

|Creating memorable and believable characters is something PIXAR have become renowned for. PIXAR's Mark Walsh joins us at Animex once again to demonstrate how he weaves his magic.|
