Animex Student Animation Awards
"a celebration of student animation worldwide"
The Animex Student Animation Awards are inviting student animators and games developers from around the world to submit material into this year’s event, which has two new awards:
Visualisation Award for the best and most innovative use of computer technology and/or language for the production of an animation to support creative and scientific applications.
Motion Graphics Award for the best and most innovative use of either a 2D or 3D animation application for the design and promotion of a product or theme under 60 seconds.
Among the international winners last year was Johan Borgstrom, who travelled from his home in Gothenburg in Sweden to attend the Animex Awards ceremony. He won the 3D Computer Animation for Games Award sponsored by NVidia for his piece entitled ‘Eon – Chapter One’. Johan, 26, said: “I found about the Animex Awards from the internet and I entered straight away. This is my first time at Animex and it’s really cool. It’s surreal in fact – there are people who work for Pixar and Dreamworks here!”
DEADLINE DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 1 OCTOBER 2005 !
