Jon Hare is one of the most successful & high profile games designers in Europe. During his career he has designed 7 number one games and with Sensible Software has scooped the Indin Developer of the year award on 2 separate occasions.
Jon was one of the two founder members of Sensible Software, best known for Wizball, Sensible Soccer, Cannon Fodder and the other games that he designed/co-designed and directed during this time. Jon also managed most of the business side of Sensible Software from 1986 right up to and including it’s sale to Codemasters in 1999.
Following the sale of Sensible Jon worked as a senior designer with Codemasters for a period of 3 years on many of their titles, most notably versions of Cannon Fodder, Prince Naseem & Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing, before leaving Codemasters to become a Computer Games Consultant.
Since 2002 Jon’s consultancy has seen him specialising in the areas of Creative Direction & Games Design as well as aiding start up companies with their business activities. In 2004 he founded Tower Studios Ltd with two former directors of the Bitmap Brothers a company specialising in the development of games for mobile phones and providing design & production services for select clients.
Jon is also a highly experienced and well known games promoting face on TV, Radio and in the press as well a regular public speaker at events such as GDCE.
