Robin Alan Linn Robin Alan Linn joined Sony Pictures Imageworks in 1996, first as a CG character modeler and eventually working his way to the position of director of animation production for the Digital Character Group.

Imageworks has been recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science with nominations for its work on “Spider-Man,” “Hollow Man,” “Stuart Little” and “Starship Troopers.” At the 2003 Academy Awards, Imageworks was awarded an Oscar® for the CG animated short film “The ChubbChubbs!” Other notable credits for Imageworks include “Spider-Man 2,” “Big Fish,” “Bad Boys II,” “Stuart Little 2,” “Cast Away,” and “Contact.”

Currently, Imageworks is in production on “Bewitched” starring Nicole Kidman, “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” “The Polar Express,” and “Monster House.” Imageworks will soon begin production on “Open Season,” the first CG motion picture from Sony Pictures Animation. Directed by Jill Culton and co-directed by Tony Stacchi, “Open Season” will feature the vocal talents of Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher and Debra Messing.

Mr. Linn grew up in Orange County, California, quite literally in the shadow of Disneyland. As a kid he was obsessed with cartoons, and his parents often had to physically pry him away from the television set to force him to get some sun. It was in high school when Mr. Linn found he had a knack for sculpting and credits his art teacher for showing him that art class was more than just holding pen for those students too unstable to be trusted in Metal Shop.

Mr. Linn’s passion for animation led him to a career as a maquette sculptor for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons in Hollywood. He worked his way up to department head and finally, 3D art director, for the company's licensing and marketing division, Orbit City. Mr. Linn still resides in “the O.C.” with his wife, daughters and dogs Pugsley and Wednesday.
