NEToons Learning Pack
31 January 05
The NEToons Learning Pack was conceived in an attempt to develop a successful and sustainable animation learning initiative that helps broaden participation in learning and animation, and contributes to the digital creative strategies of the North East of England. Following a successful fund raising effort in 2003 and 2004 work began on creating the pack.
The project is based around the concept of a teaching and learning package that can be used by anybody to develop basic skills in animation. Despite having core elements the package will also be developed to service specific groups of people including primary and secondary schoolchildren, 12-18 year olds, adult learners (of any age) and community groups (a potential mix of ages from very young to very old). The finishing touches are being put to the pack and an April launch is planned..
The people involved in developing the pack have a long history of working as professional animators, writers, directors, musicians and filmmakers. The contribution of these people is complimented by the amazing Animaatiokone animation software which makes it incredibly simple, even for the technophobes amongst us, to be making movies in a matter of minutes.
All in all NEToons promises to provide a learning environment that will inspire and motivate all of those who come into contact with it. If you would like any further information about NEToons or would like to be kept informed about the launch, email firstname.lastname@example.org
