Animex Tweentoons - SOLD OUT!
Tuesday 1 February | 10.00am - 3.00pm
Once again the youth animation education programme proved to be a great success with 150 young people participating in producing 12 animated shorts, screened at Animex to audiences in excess of 500. The festival provided the opportunity for young people to meet industry professionals. Curtis Jobling, Production Designer for Bob the Builder, gave entertaining insights into the world of animation production.
Five animated 12-second stings, designed to take different approaches to celebrating Animex 2004, were produced with five schools across Tees Valley. Creative Partnerships Tees Valley funded the programme of production and exhibition at the festival.
For 2005, a new programme of youth animation production will provide opportunities to make work with industry professionals. This work will be shown during Tween Toons, an event for primary schools children, which will showcase young people’s work, introduce them to the world of professional animation, and culminate in an animated film.
