Animex Street is yet again taking animation out to the folk of Teesside.
Look out for animations at the places you wouldn’t expect to see it – the James Cook University Hospital (who last year got a new DVD player and screened all the entries for the Animex Student Animation Awards throughout the children’s ward) will be alive with animation in their wonderful waiting area and the massive white canvas that is just begging to be animated.
Teentoons will also showcase their amazing work alongside the professionals while highlighting the opportunities to develop aspiring creative and technological skills within the Teesside region.
At Middlesbrough Football Club a 20-feet animated Transporter bridge lit up the ground before our victory against Arsenal last year. Middlesbrough train station, shops, pubs, cafes and shopping centres all came alive.
So, if your ordering a bag of chips or getting a new pair of shoes keep your eyes peeled for those mischevious techno flickers on the box because that will be Animex Street – right behind you ...
