Speakers: View Animex Game speakers
The highly successful launch last year of Animex Game means its back for 2005 but for longer! It’s now a two-day event with a schedule designed to excite and engage.
In 2004 Aled Lloyd from Brat Designs gave us an in-depth account of the work that went into their popular online title, Breed. Eutechnyx, creators of the Bafta nominated Big Mutha Truckers entertained the audience with an account of the production process. Ernest Adams delivered a thought provoking keynote speech on the legitimacy of computer games as an art form and who better to round off the day than the legendary Andrew Oliver, co-founder of Blitz games.
On Monday 31 January and Tuesday 1 February 2005, a host of industry stars from both sides of the Atlantic will gather on Teesside to regale you with tales of the games industry. We have selected speakers from all areas of the industry, management, production, games journalism and broadcasting, design, audio, art and animation to give you a broad view of what goes into a game.
Speakers this year include Chris Crawford and Ernest Adams founders of IGDA, respected authors and games design experts. Tony Bickley, European Development Director of Konami is also among the top class line-up. The opening address will be delivered by Rhianna Pratchett, games script writer and journalist for The Guardian and PC Zone.
Check out the Animex workshops scheduled for Wednesday 2 February 2005 and make the most of the rare opportunity to learn about games design from Ernest Adams and interactive storytelling from Chris Crawford.
