Six animators, four community centres, 20 participants and four films - that’s Animex Town - and you can be part of it.

Join us in an evening where community groups, animators, students and individuals will show their work on the big screen at the University of Teesside. Enjoy animation from Ayresome Community Enterprise , Toot and Floot Meet the Aliens; Being Young from North Ormesby Youth and Community Centre and Golden Balls from Erimus Day Services and much, much more.

Robin Webb from Cheeba TV and animation tutor at Ayresome Community Enterprise, said: “We started by conjuring up a story that could be interpreted in the 8-week time scale. And even at this stage the eagerness, enthusiasm and commitment to get on and animate was very apparent. The course has been a resounding success with some serious animators in the making right here in Middlesbrough.”

If you would like to show your work, see screenings in the British Animation Awards, hear animators talk about the industry, get tips from the world renowned acting coach Ed Hooks on Acting for Animators, get a ticket for the show, or just find out what Animex Town is all about, feel free to contact us at
