Animex Town will showcase animation made by community groups in the Tees Valley. Friends and family of community groups who have submitted animation for the competition, and the general public are warmly invited.

Animex Teentoons is a jam packed event aimed at young people aged 10-17 years. The day will feature a Show And Tell session, screening of local schools animation projects and a Moviedrome style introduction to a film

Animex Talk!, the main event, is a two-day conference from Thursday 30th - Friday 31st January with a strong line up of views to excite, intrigue and even shock!

Dave Mousley, Managing Director, and Chris Lunt, Development Manager of Manchester based production house Red Vision, show us their recent work on TV shows like Son of God and Aliens as well as intoducing us to their new projects as co-production partners in feature films.
10.30am Bosom Pals
GINGER GIBBONS, Animation Director at Grandslamm Films. Bringing Beryl Cook's artwork to life in the new animated sitcom Bosom Pals.
11.30am 2D Feature Animation
TERRY THOREN, CEO of Klasky Csupo, takes us through the company's journey from being a leading light in TV animation to a full-blown producer of feature animation.

ANDY WYATT from Fictitious Egg, the web-based animation creator of Johnny Casanova takes on the debate of the future of internet animation

A must see, a must hear!! The legendary NANCY CARTWRIGHT takes us on an aural journey through her career as some of the most memorable animated characters in cartoon history.

An evening with a difference. Join us for drinks at the UGC cinema in the centre of town. Animation director BARRY PURVES follows in the footsteps of Bob Godfrey and Paul Dreissen as the next guest to be interviewed at the popular After Hours session at Animex Talk! Paul Wells, Professor of Media & Cultural Studies at the University of Teesside, will go head to head with Barry at what is sure to be an exciting and interesting prelude to the Animex Festival Party.
